Dr. Jenny C. Tai
Dr. Tai is one half of the dentistry power couple behind Murphy Dental and Implant Center in Murphy, Texas. She received her periodontal prosthesis certificate from the University of Pennsylvania. The four-year, dual-specialty program combines multiple disciplines, making her adept in cosmetic, restorative, periodontic, and implant dentistry. She is one of only a small number of dentists around the world who has completed such a program.
Dr. Tai uses her advanced training to successfully treat patients with needs ranging from basic exams and fillings to full-mouth reconstructions.
While sharing her knowledge with the next generation of dentists, Dr. Tai was named “Best Teacher” by the Department of Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. She currently teaches in the graduate prosthodontics program at the Texas A&M University College of Dentistry.

Dr. Ted Ling

Dr. Ling is Dr. Tai’s other half and the other dental professional behind Murphy Dental and Implant Center.
He is a Board-certified periodontist and implant surgeon who treats his patients with kindness and professional skill.
Dr. Ling and Dr. Tai have been a team since dental school. While Dr. Tai was training at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Ling studied for his Certificate in Periodontics there too. Upon graduating, Dr. Ling received the Director's Award for outstanding clinical and academic performance and dedication to patient care. Dr. Ling’s periodontal and dental implant surgery certifications come from the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Erica Y. Chan

Dr. Erica Chan attended the University of California, Davis and graduated with a bachelor of science in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior. She was the recipient of the Regents Scholarship - the most prestigious scholarship awarded to undergraduate students by the University of California.
Following her undergraduate education, Dr. Chan attended Midwestern University in Illinois, where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and graduated top of her class. Dr. Chan practiced in Indiana before moving to North Dallas with her family and called it their new home.
Dr. Chan believes that great clinical outcomes begin with good communication and patient education. Her goal is to provide ethical and quality dental care in a comfortable environment for patients. Her compassionate nature and excellent clinical skill have won the heart and respect of patients and colleagues.
As a general dentist, Dr. Chan takes a special interest in clear aligner treatments and digital dentistry. She also devotes hours on continuing education each year to stay up-to-date with the latest dental technology in order to provide patients with the best care possible.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Chan enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and toddler son. She has visited 17 countries so far and can’t wait to explore more places around the world with her loved ones.
After working in the Dallas area as an associate dentist for a few years, Dr. Tai and Dr. Ling decided to open an office together in Murphy, Texas.
When not at work, the pair enjoy movies, hiking, and spending time together with their little ones, Oliver and Ethan.
As partners in both life and in dentistry at the Murphy Dental and Implant Center, Dr. Ling and Dr. Tai collaborate to provide all aspects of dental, implant, and periodontal care. They’ve built their facility in a way that allows them to not only take care of your comprehensive dental needs but also to have the capacity to operate as a periodontal and implant office with a cutting-edge surgery room and 3D image technologies.
